Tongue Tied

So, we found out yesterday that you had a bit of a tongue tie & it was really starting to affect our breastfeeding. Fortunately, we got in to see a pediatrician today that snipped your little tongue. Mama was really scared it was going to hurt you, but you cried for about 2 seconds and as soon as I fed you, you calmed right down. So far, breastfeeding has felt a bit better. :)

You also got weighed while we were there and you weight a whole 9 lb. 13oz.! My big boy! You're almost 10 whole pounds!! You are also now 21 inches long, which means you have grown a half an inch! I'm so happy you are growing so well! You are definitely a boob-a-holic, so I'm sure that has a little something to do with it :)

3 Weeks Old!

You are already 3 weeks old today!! Where the heck has the time gone?! I can't believe how much you are growing. Your newborn clothes are already getting a little too short for you. It's bittersweet because I want you to stay little but I'm also excited to see you grow, plus I have some really cute 0-3 month outfits to put you in. :) So what's new? hmm... Well you make some really cute & funny faces, especially when you're just falling asleep or trying to go poop. Everyone you come into contact with falls in love with you immediately. You look more and more like your daddy everyday & everyone sees it. You have that Monterrosa nose, the chin dimple and so far one dimple on your left cheek (I haven't see one on the right cheek yet).You're such a great baby, you only cry when you're hungry or you're getting a bath (you really hate that). You're just perfect & I love you so so so so so much!

Sleepless Nights

Well after 3 practically sleepless nights, I have discovered that you do not like sleeping in the crib. You were waking up every hour & mama was exhausted! I finally put you in the swing last night and you slept for 3 whole hours! It was great! So, the swing or mommy or daddy's arms, but no crib. I guess that means you're spoiled but that's okay because if you're sleeping, I'm sleeping, which means a happy baby and a happy mommy. You're already gonna be 2 weeks old tomorrow! You're growing so fast! You already have newborn clothes that don't fit you! It makes me a little sad but excited at the same time to watch you grow and develop. I know daddy is excited for you to get big enough for him to teach you things and play with you. I just want you to stay my lil baby forever!.♥

 We got our pictures done on January 12, 2013 at Sears. I absolutely loved how they turned out and you did so well!! :) I'm pretty sure you are the cutest baby in the whole entire world... & I'm not just sayin that cause I'm your mom! Love you little man!.♥

You are now 10 days old!! When they say time flies, they mean it. I can't believe how much you have already changed and grown. At 5 days old, you began smiling in your sleep and even sometimes when you're awake. I also gave you your first sponge bath and you disliked it very much!!! You look exactly like your daddy & I love it! You are most definitely an Alex Jr. I often find myself just staring down at you in awe. I feel so luck to be able to call you my son. I love you more than you could ever imagine. You are such an amazing little person already. You had your first official doctor appointment today and the doctor was impressed with you. You now weigh 7 lb 13 oz! The doctor asked me what I'm feeding you! I told him breastmilk and he was pleased. You are definitely a little boobie monster. The doctor also coaxed your umbilical cord stump off and you can take a real bath in 3-4 days. We are getting into a nice routine and you usually let me sleep pretty well at night. We finally mastered breastfeeding and we haven't needed the nipple shield for a few days now. We also discovered that you MUST be pee pee down in your diaper otherwise you go through a ton of clothes!! That lesson was learned the hard way!. Hmmm... what else? Oh ya! We got your newborn pics taken a couple days ago and they turned out great. You are so dang cute! I can't say enough how very much I love you! I am truly blessed to have you in my life. Now that you're here, I can't even begin to imagine my life without you!

Oh my baby boy, you are already one week old & you just get cuter and cuter every single day! I can not even begin to imagine my life without you now! :) You are truly the best thing that has ever happened to me. Mama loves you so very very much!
